Omeprazole Paste: Treatment and Prevention of Recurrence of Gastric Ulcers in Horses

چکیده

Omeprazole as a paste formulation at 4.0 mg/kg PO q 24 h is highly effective in healing gastric ulcers in horses, while 2.0 or 4.0 mg/kg PO q 24 h effectively prevents recurrence of gastric ulcers in Thoroughbred horses in race training.
